Chinese Patent ZL 2005 80008541.8

Looking for opportunity for cooperating

Title: Spectacle Support System

Patent No.: ZL 2005 80008541.8

Patentee: Kin Fai KAM

Term of Validity: January 31, 2005 --- January 30, 2025

Abstract: This invention patent enables popular types of headwear (e.g. caps, safety helmets) two extremely useful new functions for anyone who wears prescription spectacles or other similar eyewear such as sunglasses. For example, the invention can be manifest as a standard looking cap which when worn will take away all the weight or pressure of the spectacles on the nose of the wearers, thus increasing comfort, which is especially useful in humid climate when there is a tendency of the eyewear to slip down the nose, or if the spectacles is particularly heavy or uncomfortable due to less than perfect fitment. Another function is that it also stabilises the eyewear, thus making it particularly attractive for people engaged in sports or leisure activities where a cap or helmet is worn anyway e.g. golf, fishing, hunting, cycling, walking. Other applications include improved health and safety for workers, and medical application for people with facial deformities or small nasal bridge.

Other Information: Fully functional prototype designs, known as the ‘iiCap’ are available now, but due to limited finance, necessary design revision, manufacturing and marketing of this revolutionary new cap product is currently moving slowly. However, the inventor is extremely keen and determined to market this invention vigorously in China and worldwide in 2012, and is now actively looking for investment to develop and market the iiCap product and brand, or alternatively to license the invention to major headwear manufacturers or sport retailers. The inventor is particularly keen to work with major Chinese manufacturers or sporting brands with the vision and resources to promote and market the iiCaps in China and globally. As hundreds of millions of caps are produced in China alone, this invention is potentially a huge investment opportunity for potential investors or manufacturers who recognise its utility and novelty differentiation and the market share which it can attain. The invention is also covered in several other territories, including Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.
